Going Places

Mike took the Bar again this past week. The first day is always the hardest (for both of us), but after that, things went by fast. Mike felt really good after the last day--he told himself if he wanted a chance at passing this time, he had to do really well on the last day, which he thinks he did. I feel pretty confident in him and know that Heavenly Father was helping us through the week. Thanks to everyone for all your prayers and words of encourgement the past few months. Now we get to wait until May 14th before we find out the results. I cannot WAIT until this part of our life is OVER....I'm so tired of waiting.

To celebrate a long two months of studying and not being together, Mike and I went skiing yesterday with some friends. My sister and her husband watched Abby ALL DAY LONG for us so we could go, and it was such a nice treat. Thanks Cara and Jeff!

It usually takes 3 hours to get up to the mountains from P-Town, but yesterday there was snow storm, which closed roads and caused delays, and we ended up only getting to ski a half day, but that meant awesome POWDER conditions, so we weren't complaining. It was a GREAT day, even if I did forget my ski boots, causing me to rent the crummy ones from the resort..... I can't wait to teach Abby next year!

Before heading down the mountain--aren't we styling in our helmets? They're nice to wear (not only for safety), but they keep our heads incredibly warm...almost too warm. :)

My friend Stacie and I--her and her husband are pro skiers, so we had fun trying to keep up with them. I should say, Mike had fun trying to keep up with us on his new snowboard--but he did GREAT!

It looks like Mike is laughing in this picture, but he is really "fake" laughing--trying to be funny.

Earlier this past week I got a group of kids and moms to go to the Jelly Belly factory. It's a fun place to take kids, maybe not as young as Abby, but she still had fun. They offer free tours of their factory where you get to see how the jelly beans are made. Abby had a great time with all her friends and loved watching the machines work. We waited a LONG time for our tour because there was a huge school group in front of us, but the kids managed to be somewhat patient. And they got a great treat at the end--a bag of jelly bellys! Abby ate almost her entire bag before I took it away. Mean Mom! :) It was a great activity to distract me from thinking about Mike taking the Bar.....

How fun to go skiing! Congrats Mike on finishing the bar, can't wait to hear about the results. And, is Abby taller than Sienna? She is so tall!
